Stories from The Velvet Drawing Room

“The mysterious death of Miss Nellie Pratt”.

Nellie was the granddaughter of one of the original Pratt Taxidermists, and sister to Edwin, one of the sons of the original Pratt brothers who continued the business at Cranbourne Street from 1904.

Although it’s a sad story, the blog post reveals more details about the Victorian Pratt taxidermists and their sister and heritage and is well worth the read.

See the blog post and read the whole story by the Brighton and Hove Museum.
